The Internal Quality Assurance Cell
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Maharashtra Mahavidyalaya Nilanga functions as a Nodal Agency for monitoring the working of the College and is committed to overall quality enhancement in the College. In order to institutionalise the process of quality enhancement, the IQAC was established in the College in July 2012. As maintaining the quality of education in higher educational institutes is one of the major challenges before Indian Higher Education, the IQAC of this college has been consistently striving to achieve the same. It has evolved mechanisms for effective curriculum delivery, innovative teaching, learning and evaluation practices, quality in research, collaborations and extension activities, procurement and maintenance of infrastructure including for ICT tools, student support and progression, efficient governance, auditing, and appraisal systems as well as best practices throughout the last 12 years. It has created a network of collaborators consisting of scores of alumni, industry, academic and research institutes, stakeholders, GOs and NGOs. It has facilitated creation of entrepreneurship and employability among the students by organizing trainings and workshops for enhancing skills of the students. During the last five years more than 30 workshops, seminars, and conferences were organized. In total more than ₹ 15,00,000/- were mobilized for research projects and endowments through internal and external sources. The scholarships and freeships through governmental, non-governmental (CSR), and internal sources worth of millions of rupees were acquired and distributed among the students. The college has played a key role in extension activities in the neighbourhood through NSS/NCC departments and students. It has hosted dozens of activities, programmes, examinations, competitions and meetings of various governmental, non-governmental agencies as its extension to the society. The IQAC has played a seminal role in the meticulous planning and continuous monitoring and effective implementation of the annual academic calendars of the college in accordance with the university’s academic calendar.

MISSION
- To function as conscious, consistent and catalytic drive towards institutionalizing quality culture in the college.
- To achieve excellence in academic, research, placement and extension activities through a network of collaboration between the college and the alumni, industry, academic and research institutes, stakeholders, GOs and NGOs.
- To ensure holistic growth of the students towards making them sensible and responsible citizen of the country.

- To achieve 100% student progression and placement through self-employment, placements, and entrepreneurship.
- To ensure effective curriculum delivery, efficient governance, transparent self-appraisal system and continual progression by evolving necessary mechanisms.
- To register and participate in the national and international academic initiatives like NIRF, NAD, and Research Gate, AISHE etc.
STRATEGIES
- To plan and ensure effective implementation of curriculum delivery through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in order to foster holistic growth of the students.
- To take initiatives towards creating ecosystem for innovations and promoting quality research by creating a network of collaborations with academic institutions, Government Organizations, industry, and NGOs.
- To facilitate creation of entrepreneurship and employability among the students by organizing trainings and workshops for enhancing skills.
- To encourage application of innovative teaching, learning and evaluation methods enabled by ICT tools.
- To strengthen initiatives for voluble extension activities for social problems and environment conservation.
- To carry out activities for timely internal and external assessment, auditing and accreditation of the college.
- To encourage and facilitate participation and organization of intra-disciplinary inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary activities, seminars, conferences, workshops and symposia.

- Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
- Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
- Documentation of various programs/ activities leading to quality improvement
- Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices
- Development and maintenance of institutional database through Management Information System [MIS] for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing institutional quality
