Introduction
Maharashtra Mahavidyalaya was established by Maharashtra Shikshan Samiti at Nilanga, Dist. Latur of Maharashtra state, in June 1970 with Arts and Commerce faculties. Later, Science faculty was introduced in June 1986. To fulfill the need of the students, the courses like B.C.A., B. Voc. (FPPS, WPT), M.Sc. (CS) and M. Com. have also been introduced in the college. We are an educational institute with quality as our prime agenda in all of our academic, curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Motivated by providing quality education to develop our students holistically, we have been constantly engaged in pedagogical, research and extension activities while keeping the interests of our stakeholders at the centre. Since last more than fifty years, we have been imparting quality education to the rural and border area students.
To facilitate higher education to the students from the rural and lower strata of the society, we have created an atmosphere of inclusion. Moreover, in order to create atmosphere of social harmony and tolerance towards the gender, caste, religion and region we organize various activities. All the required safety measures are taken to ensure the peaceful and harmonious co-existence. Transparency, decentralization, participative governance, accountability and punctuality are some of the key features of our governance. In order to ensure complete adherence to the standards and measures initiated by the university, the UGC, the state, and the central governments, we have taken all the necessary steps to effectively implement the Right to Information Act 2005 at our campus. We are ready to comply with any application that reaches us either directly or through our university and provide the required information accurately and within the time stipulated by the act. We have no pendency of any such query of data either received directly to us or sent to us by any higher department.
