                It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the Library of  Maharashtra  Mahavidyalaya, Nilanga which is established in the year 1970 to cater the need of learning fraternity of the institution.

               Library is housed in a magnificent building which includes separate wings for stack, reference section, circulation section, reading halls for boys, girls and staff, journal section, computer laboratory, preservation & technical processing unit. It supports the college rigorous programs in graduate, post-graduate and research.

It offering collection in multiple formats, providing access to worldwide and establishing services. It contains 67732 commendably classified text books, rare books and reference books. The college subscribes  N-List & DELNET having  e-books, e-Journals and databases with modern facility enhances the zeal of the users for knowledge.

  Library adopted open access system so as to facilitate readers easy access to the  resources and has also estaled links with sister Institution in order to provide Inter Library Loan facility. It plays a major role in the intellectual development of every individual in the society to enlighten its citizenship & to quench the thirst of reading.

  In order to conserve the printed heritage for future generation, the Library personal takes all efforts for physical, chemical, reprographic & digital conservation & preservation.

LIBRARY RULES FOR STUDENTS

General Rules  :

  • I D Card is compulsory while entering to Library. Student should produce their ID

   & BT at the counter

  • Pin drop silence is required to be maintained in the library.
  • Keep your cell phone off while entering in the library
  • Eatables / Drinks / Smoking are strictly avoided in the library
  • Don’t drag the chairs whenever you want , Sit where the chairs are prearranged.
  • Handbags , own books are not permitted inside the Library. These materials  are

   to be kept on their own risk.

  • Library will remain open through out the year except on government holidays.
  • Xeroxing facility at moderate rate is available in Main Building.
  • No Dues certificate , Question papers will be issued after 2.00 PM.
  • Marking , Underlining or writing on the Book / Journal is strictly forbidden.
  • Back volumes of journals & periodicals will be issued for two days only.
  • Violation of the library rules or misconduct with the library staff by student

   would be seriously & may lead to withdrawal of library facility as decide by 

   management.

  • We welcome your suggestions for improving our services. for further

   improvement contact to Librarian.

Circulation Rules

  • No Library material will be issued against I- Card & B.T Card
  • Books issued should be returned within eight days as per Time – Table
  • otherwise RS. 10/- will be paid for every day.
  • Book issued will not be accepted back on the same day.
  • Reference Book ,Audio – Video material will not be issued out of the library.
  • Borrowers must check the book thoroughly the physical condition of book ( Pages, chapters , pictures etc) before borrowing otherwise they shall be responsible for any damage.
  • Member may reserve the book by written request.
  • Students have to return the books before examination for issue of No-Dues
  • For loss of book give either new book or pay double price of the book or replace the book of same title & price.
  • Loss of identity card should be reported immediately to the Librarian
  • Duplicate I Card / B.T card will be issued on the payment of Rs. 100/-

Reading Room Rules

  • No entry without I-Card & college I- card to reading room.
  • Reading material issued in reading room has to be returned before living the room.
  • Newspapers are available in reading room.
  • Timing : 09.00 A.M.      TO     05.30  P.M.
  • During exam period 09.30 A.M. TO     10.00 P.M.
